Kenneth Taylor, an American ex-pat and his wife Eden took her in. Then, for the next ten years, Poarch worked at the farm of her parents, doing different chores. Bryner has a younger sister as well as two adoptive elder sisters. Her family moved to the United States in Texas when she was 13 witht the exception of her two older sisters who remained in the Phillipines.
